Gallagher Estates

In partnership with Gallagher Estates, bpha is developing almost 1,000 new affordable homes at major strategic sites across Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. These include:

  • Orchard Park, Cambridge – almost complete, this is a major urban extension to Cambridge
  • Loves Farm, St Neots – offers a strategic urban extension site of 1,500 new homes, more than 500 of which are affordable.  This site is due for completion in 2011/12
  • Wixams, Bedfordshire – this is a strategic new settlement of 4,500 new homes, which runs across the Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire boundary. The first homes were completed in 2009, and the site will offer more than 1,000 affordable homes when it is finished

bpha has also employed officers dedicated to helping build balanced, thriving communities for these new areas.

bpha has been involved in the planning of these sites from an early stage and this has helped with their efficient delivery.  It has also ensured the organisation has been able to work in partnership with the HCA to secure long-term funding for affordable housing.

Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association Limited (bpha), Registered Office Pilgrims House, Horne Lane, Bedford MK40 1NY, is registered as a Charitable Industrial Provident Society (26751R) and also with the Homes and Communities Agency (LH3887) and is affiliated to the National Housing Federation.
