The Resident Scrutiny and Improvement Group meets regularly to review and discuss bpha’s performance, customer feedback, and service-related issues. The group uses a lot of different methods to identify areas for examination, including research, testing services, benchmarking, meeting with staff at all levels, and talking with other residents, to develop ideas for how things could be improved.
The Group is made up of bpha residents that have progressed through our resident involvement ladder and meets as a group every six weeks. In between meetings members do other things, including reading and writing reports, research what other organisations are doing, and coming to bpha to meet staff.
Members have been provided with a range of training and support to ensure that they can participate in a wide variety of projects, and are provided with ongoing learning opportunities that match their interests.
Members of the Group have learnt how the organisation works and its role in the housing sector, and actively contribute to making services better for all residents.
The Resident Scrutiny and Improvement Group is sponsored by the Deputy Chair of the Board, providing a direct link to the bpha Board.
