Executive management team 

The Board delegates operational management - the implementation of Board policies and strategy - to bpha's staff, led by the Chief Executive and Management Team.
bpha's Executive Team consists of:






 John Cross
Chief Executive

John has been Chief Executive of bpha since 1995. He is responsible for advising the Board on the formulation of policy and the implementation of Board decisions, and also leads bpha's staff and the overall management of the Association. John has a long association with the National Housing Federation Board, and served as Chair of the Board for 3 years.  Prior to joining bpha, John worked in the co-operative housing world before joining mainstream housing associations and was previously Chief Executive of Swaythling Housing Society in Hampshire. 

Paul Gray
Executive Director (Finance)

Paul is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive national and international CFO experience and an excellent track record in growing businesses across a variety of sectors.  He has a strong background in corporate finance, with specific interests in fundraising, business planning, commercial contract negotiation, group and international reporting, management and mentoring of staff across departments.

David Keeling 
Executive Director (Development and Property Services)

David is bpha’s Executive Director (Development and Property) leading the Association’s development activity, majoring on strategic urban extensions and new settlements, including the Cambridge Challenge, and an extensive partnership providing residential and nursing care homes. He is responsible for Intermediate Tenure sales and marketing and the asset management of bpha’s 16,000 existing homes. 

 

 

 

 

 

Kate Nelson 
Executive Director (Corporate Services)

Kate Nelson joined bpha in November 2007 and is responsible for the effective and efficient management of corporate services, encompassing IT, HR, communications, marketing, business improvement, facilities management, and health, safety, and environment.  With a strong background in business consultancy, and local and central government, Kate’s knowledge and experience is used to drive the strategic delivery of services to the business.

Judith Pokora
Executive Director (Customer Relations)

Judith is a senior customer service and operations director with extensive experience working in complex, high volume and demanding environments.  With significant change management and performance improvement experience, Judith has worked both locally and overseas to shape and deliver excellence in customer service.
