Community champions are residents, tenants and people who live in communities where bpha has homes and who work to improve the lives of others. They are individuals, families or groups who inspire others and are proactive in their community. They will have tenacity and be willing to go the ‘extra mile’ in working towards ensuring the quality of life for people in their communities is improved. They should be able to demonstrate partnership working with the voluntary, private or public sectors and local residents
Is there a champion in your community?
Do you know a bpha resident that you think deserves an award? If so we’d love to hear from you!
Every year we hold our Community Champions Awards where we reward those individuals, who have through their own efforts greatly improved the lives of others.
The champion could be a resident, family or group – anyone who you feel has gone ‘the extra mile’, been an inspiration and helped your local community. This is your opportunity to congratulate and thank them for all the work that they do! All entries are judged by residents like you and the winners will be invited to our annual ‘Thank You’ event for volunteers in June 2011 to receive their awards.
To make your nomination, please download the form below and include a separate sheet with no more than 250 words on why you believe this person, family or group should win an award.
Send your entry to Liz Robertson, bpha, Freepost, ANG S107, Bedford MK40 1ZZ.
Entry forms can also be submitted via email at info@bpha.org.uk
For more information, please contact Liz Robertson, Assistant Community Development Manager on 01234 791 000.
All entries must be received by Thursday 31st March 2011.
