bpha’s Silver Surfers project provides supported access to technology to people over the age of 50, with particular emphasis on the Internet and email.
Our clubs and classes are delivered at a variety of venues in Bedford Borough and Luton. All ages and abilities are welcome at Silver Surfers. The IT support and training available at our Silver Surfers clubs is delivered by dedicated volunteers who run the computer clubs and offer one-to-one sessions.
We offer dedicated one-to-one support for people who need a bit of extra help to get them started, and will arrange specific courses such as Computers for the Terrified for new members. Our clubs are held in relaxed and friendly environments, so come along and explore the endless possibilities of what you can discover on a computer with the aid of our friendly volunteers.
Some of our members are confident with computers and work on projects alone or in groups. They can socialise with like minded people and share their knowledge and hints and tips, so if you are a confident computer user, you are welcome to come along and join in.
Silver Surfers @ Bedford has its own website which is regularly updated by our volunteers, why not take a look.
