Interpreter service 

If you need an interpreter, bpha can arrange one for you through a number of different methods.

  • A bi-lingual member of staff.  These are bpha staff able to help residents who speak another language, but are not trained or qualified interpreters. bpha cannot guarantee that the staff member will be available - it helps if we can have a couple of hours notice. Languages available are Arabic, Bosnian, Croatian, French, Hindi, Italian, Pahari, Polish, Punjabi, Serbian, South Slavic (not Albanian), Spanish, and Urdu.
  • A telephone interpreter. bpha subscribes to Language Line and can access up to 150 languages in under two minutes. Because this service uses a phone, it can be used from your home at no cost to you.
  • An agency interpreter. Interpreters are trained, qualified, and managed by the Milton Keynes Community Language Service.They can come to your home, but we will need a couple of days notice to arrange this.
