What is ASB?

Anti-social behaviour is defined in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 as

Behaviour which has caused or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the perpetrator.”

Anti-social behaviour can include but is not limited to the following:

  • Noise and rowdy behaviour
  • Vandalism, graffiti and damage to property
  • Intimidation and verbal abuse
  • Using the home to sell or take drugs, or for other illegal activites
  • Domestic abuse
  • Animal not kept under control

We work in partnership with other agencies to resolve issues of ASB quickly and effectively. When you report an ASB issue to bpha, we might signpost you to another agency that is better placed to deal with the type of nuisance being caused. We will be in contact with them so that we can take appropriate action.
