Entered Britain in Bloom competition

Golden Gardens was one of several projects in Bedford Borough Council’s Bedford portfolio entry to the national Britain in Bloom competition.  Britain in Bloom is one of the largest horticultural campaigns in Europe and participants can earn top marks in horticultural achievement, environmental responsibility and community participation. 

Bedford picked up a Silver award in the competition, a great achievement in such a huge competition.  The judges were particularly impressed with Golden Gardens, noting that ‘the community gardens are a fantastic community asset; all concerned with the project are to be congratulated’
