People from abroad

Individuals coming to the UK from abroad and needing housing will be affected by the current laws about asylum seekers and refugees, people coming to the UK to join relatives already here, and people coming to study or work in the UK.

Some people coming from abroad are not eligible for social housing and we will not be able to accept an application for the housing register.  The law is quite complicated, and you will need to provide evidence that you are in the UK legally and that you meet all the requirements to be considered for housing.  The Lettings Team will be happy to advise you what you need to provide.
