Former Debts

If you owe rent arrears or any other debts to bpha, a council or any other social landlord, we will expect you to pay a minimum of 75% of the total debt before we will consider you for a tenancy. We will want proof from the landlord that the payment has been made.

If you are suffering severe hardship and there are good reasons why you have been unable to meet your financial commitments we can review your circumstances, but only after you have made an arrangement to pay off the debt and have kept to it for at least six months.

You should contact us at the end of the six month period and request a review. Your application will be reviewed by a housing manager.
