Monday 11th June, 2.30pm – 5pm, Leeson Court, Leeson Road, Towcester, NN12 6HS
Older people will be bringing their voices to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee at Leeson Court in Towcester. The party will be a musical one with tunes provided by a Dutch street organ, local musicians and the guests themselves who will be asked to join in a sing-along.
A magician will also be performing and free tea and cakes will be served at the event hosted by bpha, the Rotary Club, the Women’s Institute (WI) and the Northamptonshire branch of Age UK.
Jan Davis, Assistant Retirement Services Manager at bpha, said: “The Jubilee is a momentous occasion and we wanted to celebrate this in style. The Rotary Club has provided the musicians and the WI and Age UK are also helping out on the day and we are really grateful for their support.
“The event is open to everyone who lives or attends the day centre at Leeson Court and we are providing transport for any guests who need it.”
“We hope that a right royal time will be had by all!”
