Older residents battle it out  - 17/02/2012 

It was Bedford versus Bedford versus Luton when residents from bpha’s sheltered schemes did battle at the inter-courts quiz last week.

Around 50 residents from across all of bpha’s sheltered and extra care housing schemes in Bedford and Luton came together to test their knowledge for the chance of winning £60 worth of gardening vouchers and a coveted place on the engraved ceremonial shield.

The quiz was held at Kempston Centenary Hall and arranged by staff from bpha’s Community Development Team.

Elaine Warwick, Resident Involvement Coordinator for bpha said: “We used to do quizzes like this every year and it’s something that we’re keen to resurrect. All residents from our sheltered schemes in Bedfordshire were invited to attend the quiz (which included a lunch) and everyone always has a good time.

“Much fun was had by all and special congratulations to the winning team from Chandos Court.

“We’re already looking forward to the next one!”
