  • EEDA IiC
£29,670 for ‘pre entry’ adult skills interventions delivered through our Learning Network project
  • The Bedford Charity
£10,000 towards the cost of an activities co-ordinator at Cornerstone House in Bedford, our hostel for homeless teenagers
  • House of Industry Estate
£4,550 towards new ICT equipment for silver surfers to help older residents develop their computer skills
£9,126 for the Foyer – supported accommodation for homeless young people – to refit the laundry, provide new equipment for residents and to support the football team
£7,055 for the Neighbourhood Renewal ‘Dance, Garden and Recycling’ project

Other supporters past & present include:

Bedfordshire County Council, Bedford Borough Council;  Bedford Primary Care Trust; The Learning Partnership, Bedfordshire & Luton; Cambridgeshire County Council; Department for Education & Skills; Bedfordshire & Luton Learning & Skills Council; Sport England Active Community Development Fund; Sure Start; Fortune International; Prime Estates & Coplan Estates.

In addition, our various resident groups have benefited from funds including:

Awards for All; The Bedford Charity; National Lottery Awards; Tesco Community Sponsorship Scheme; DfES & COVER Community Champions Awards

Most funders want to encourage partnership working and bpha's commitment to membership of multi-agency partnerships such as Bedfordshire and Luton Learning Partnership and Bedford Partnership Board gives the association's work greater focus and support for many grant applications.  By combining partnership working and fundraising, bpha has extended its involvement and commitment to the community in a wide variety of ways.
