Some of our more recent and larger awards are listed below.

  • Bedfordshire County Council ESF Co-Finance
    £62,500 to continue to offer pre-employment support in Bedford
  • Ufi UK Online Centres
    £25,300 for Silver Surfers, £25,000 to deliver IT training at the Foyer and £12,500 for IT delivery in partnership with the Bedford Guild House
  • Bedfordshire County Council
    £20,000 for Neighbourhood Renewal
  • The Learning Partnership Bedfordshire & Luton
    £16,250 to support our partnership with Church Lane Management Committee through the creation of a vibrant learning facility within Church Lane Community Centre
  • Big Lottery Fund
    £175,722 for our partnership with Spurgeon’s Child Care, enabling us to further develop the support service for women & children at Caroline Norton House

In addition, grants under £10,000 for specific community-based projects have been awarded by:  Bedford Borough Council, Bedford Primary Care Trust, House of Industry Estate, RG Hills Charitable Trust, RBS, Nationwide & Barclays.

Past supporters include:  Bedford Charity, Cambridgeshire County Council, Department for Education & Skills, The Childrens Fund, Bedfordshire & Luton Learning & Skills Council, Sport England Active Community Development Fund & Sure Start.

Most funders want to encourage partnership working and bpha's commitment to membership of multi-agency partnerships such as Bedfordshire and Luton Learning Partnership and Bedford Partnership Board gives the association's work greater focus and support for many grant applications.  By combining partnership working and fundraising, bpha has extended its involvement and commitment to the community in a wide variety of ways.
