bpha appoints head
of corporate services
Leading housing provider bpha has appointed its first head of
corporate services.
Kate Nelson arrives from Luton Borough Council’s housing
department where she worked as business development manager.
The association, which led the successful Cambridgeshire Partnerships
bid in the Housing Corporation’s recent Cambridge Challenge
competition, felt that Kate’s background in policy and business
development in local and central government was the right combination
to take forward some of its core back-office services as the business
expands and diversifies.
Kate’s remit will cover HR, IT, communications and continuous
improvement.
Commenting on her appointment, Kate said: “This is an exciting
time to join a dynamic association such as bpha. There are challenges
ahead both for bpha and for the housing sector and I’m looking
forward to putting the infrastructure in place to support both
ourselves and our partners to meet them.”
