What is Carelink?
Carelink gives users a direct link to help from their own homes.
A simple push button is used to summon help.
Once connected to Carelink you have a special unit attached to
your phone which connects to our Carelink Control Centre. We also
supply a button which can be worn as a pendant or on your wrist
- like a watch. If help is required, you simply press a button
on the unit or pendant.
What Happens if you press the button?
The call for help comes through to a trained operator at the
Carelink Control Centre. You can speak directly to them, and they
are able to send for your doctor or ambulance or friend if you
need help. If for any reason you were unable to speak, there are
procedures to trace the call, and in addition all alarm calls
are voice recorded to ensure there is no misunderstanding of your
request.
If there is no one I know to help me, can a mobile
warden help?
Yes, if you have the mobile warden service, our wardens can come
and help you in an emergency. There are three service options
available which are explained on the back page of this leaflet.
What does installation cost?
Installation of the unit is free, and can be carried out quickly.
All that is required is a telephone socket and a nearby three-pin
power socket.
What if I'm not sure about it?
We would be happy to visit you and demonstrate the system free
of charge. It really is simplicity itself to work, and sometimes
seeing is believing!
