bpha built and owns a women’s
refuge in St Neots. It is funded by Supporting People and has
the assistance of small donations and help from the local community.
Initially the refuge was funded by the National Lottery.
The refuge is run for bpha under
contract to Spurgeons Child Care.
There are eight flatlets with
individual bathrooms. Kitchens and lounges are shared. The layout
of the refuge is flexible, as the flats have adjoining doors
so they can be made into larger units for families.
