I am already registered: how can I access additional accounts?

Just log in, in the usual way, and use the ‘Add Account’ option available under ‘My Profile’.

Why do I need to enter an activation code before I can access my account?

We want to make sure that we can send you messages, and that you can receive these, at the email address you use during registration.

I don’t have an email address. What can I do?

You need to have an email address in order to use this service. There are a number of free providers of email available on the Internet.

Why provide my SMS (mobile phone) number?

By providing your SMS (mobile phone) number you will be able to receive text message notifications on your mobile phone. To turn these on, please go to ‘My Profile’ once you have logged in.

What can I use for my password?

Your password should be between six and 15 characters long and contain a combination of numbers and letters.

It has been at least an hour since I completed my registration and I still haven’t received an email. What can I do?

You can request that the code is sent to you again.

I use email filter software. What email address did you send me the message from?

We send emails from our info@bpha.org.uk email address.

I have tried to enter the activation code, but it keeps saying it is invalid. What is wrong?

The activation code is case sensitive, please make sure you are entering upper and lower case characters exactly as shown in the email.

I have forgotten my password. How can I get a reminder sent to me?

You can request a temporary password to be sent to you.

Where can I find my account number?

Your account number is at the top left of your Rent Statement. It will be between 12 to 16 digits in length, split into two numbers with a ‘/’.

My account mail is sent to a different address. Which postcode should I use?

For Housing Rent accounts, you should enter the postcode of the property you are trying to register. For Garage Rent accounts, you should enter the postcode of your mailing address.

I’m sure the details I entered are correct, so why is my enrolment being rejected?

It may be that our records need updating, so please email us using the Customer services ‘Contact us’ option.

Why do you need to send me an unlock code through the post?

Your personal security is very important to us. Sending you an unlock code through the post is one way to ensure your online security.

When will my unlock code arrive?

We will send the unlock code to you within three working days of you requesting access to an account.

My correspondence address is different to my property address. Is this a problem?

Don’t worry – we will send your account unlock code to your correspondence address. If your details are incorrect, please email us using the Customer services ‘Contact us’ option.

Do changes take effect immediately?

Yes, changes are immediate. So please remember to use the updated information from the moment you update it.

How do I receive notifications via SMS (mobile phone)?

Once you have submitted your SMS (mobile phone) number you will see an option under ‘notifications’ to request an unlock code. Use the link to request that a code is sent to your phone and when it arrives, enter it into the box provided. Once verified future notifications will be sent as SMS messages as well as the email. To stop receiving these messages, deselect the checkbox and use the ‘update’ button.
