We've recently launched a new award to recognise those who go
the 'extra mile' to help their neighbourhoods.
In Corby, Dumble Close residents Jane Donnelly and Willie Hall
received the 2004 inaugural awards. Willie champions the cause
of people with disabilities on a local and national level, while
Jane set up the Dumble Close Community Action Group and campaigns
for children's facilities and activities.
In Bedford, Dave and Jane Woodward and their two youngest children,
Dannie and Nia, were also names Community Champions. They are
involved in numerous community and voluntary groups.
