Your rights as a service charge payer
You have a number of important rights as a leaseholder and service charge payer. BPHA must:
- Allow you an opportunity to inspect and take copies of invoices
that support the annual service charge accounts
- Ensure the service it provides represent reasonable value
for money
- Avoid unnecessary expense
- Consult over £250 for major works, and over £100
for setting up long term contracts. BPHA must give you time
to comment and consider all comments before proceeding with
the work
- Notify you of charge costs within 18 months of receiving an
invoice for the work.
