Terms of your lease

Your lease is an important document. It sets out the rules for such things as:

  • How much you pay in service charges
  • What services you can expect from us in return for your service charge

If you break the terms of your lease, bpha can take action against you to forfeit your lease. This will allow us to evict you from your home.

We will only take court action against you for serious breaches of the lease. It will give you reasonable opportunity to put right the breaches of your lease before taking you to court.

If bpha has broken the terms of your lease, tell us. If bpha fails to put it right, you can make a complaint. If you are still not happy after the complaints procedure, you can complain to the Independent Housing Ombudsman.

You can also take legal action against bpha for breach of the lease.
