A strong financial performance sees us into 2021
Our latest financial statements are out now
In a very different and challenging year, we are pleased to report that bpha delivered an excellent overall performance; one that was centred on our customers and demonstrated the core strengths of the organisation’s business model, employees, systems and processes.
We can look to the future in a very strong financial position, able to continue to support and work with our customers and the communities they live in. We can also continue to develop our services and provide more, much needed, affordable homes.
A quick look at the last financial year
More affordable homes
The impact of Government restrictions on construction during the pandemic meant we were unable to achieve our development ambitions for the year, however despite the challenges, we were delighted to be able to deliver 366 new affordable homes and are set to increase our delivery of new homes in the coming year.
High quality homes
We are committed to providing and maintaining high quality homes for our customers. We were able to adapt the delivery of our repairs service to ensure we could continue with essential repairs, even during the height of the restrictions, in a Covid safe way.
Over the last twelve months we invested £26m on repairs and improvements to our customers’ homes this level of investment supports our commitment to maintain homes that are great places to live both now and in the future.
Customer experience
Making a positive difference to people’s lives relies on being able to provide the best possible experience for our customers. Understanding how our customers feel about our services and ensuring they actively influence and shape any changes we make; an approach that was even more important over the past year.
Shaping our future
Our investment in systems and technology and working closely to support our employees, meant we were able to move almost the full organisation to remote working in a matter of days when lockdown was announced. As a result of the changes created by the pandemic, we are taking the opportunity to review our working practices and help ensure we can deliver the best service for our customers and a create a flexible, positive working environment for our employees.
