bpha turns 30
On 13 June 2020 bpha turns 30 years old.
That’s 30 years of serving our customers and communities, and 30 years of providing homes that people can live happily in and afford.
bpha was established on 13 June 1990 after the tenants of North Bedfordshire Borough Council voted in favour of creating a new housing association to own and manage their homes.
In 1990 we started out with 7,300 homes and today through a programme of sustained investment we have more than 19,000. The organisation started with 70 people and now has a team of 460 employees delivering vital services to our customers.
From a fledgling organisation 30 years ago, bpha has now developed into the largest housing association in its area and we thank all our customers, residents, partners and employees for their support over the years.
Our 30th anniversary comes in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, a time of unprecedented uncertainty. We are mindful that this is a difficult time for our tenants and customers and that our focus remains on providing essential services and support to our communities.
