If you are a UC claimant you are required to verify your new rent following the rent increase via your UC portal. You can do this with effect from 1st April if your rent is charged monthly or from 5th April if your rent is charged weekly. If you attempt to verify your new rent prior to this date you will need to resubmit the rent verification after the dates listed. Please note that the 5th April is a bank holiday so contact centres may be closed.
