People are at the heart of what we do, and therefore we recognise that benefits are more than just perks, they are fundamental parts of what we stand for representing our values.
We reward our colleagues by making sure we give them a supportive and caring environment, that empowers them to be happy, healthy and inspired, every day. Let’s take a look at some of the colleague benefits we have to offer.
Flexibility and time off
Where your role allows, we offer the flexibility to work from home as well as from the head office or from one of our other bpha locations. We have a fantastic head office with free parking, access to an onsite restaurant and the space to catch up and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.
Most of our colleagues’ work as either a hybrid worker (home and office based) or field-based worker (out and about at bpha locations with our residents), which allows the flexibility to work from home where possible, whilst still putting the needs of our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Most colleagues are issued with SurfacePro laptops enabling them to work more flexibly and remotely.
Depending on your role and customer needs there are also opportunities work your hours with some flexibility to allow time in the day for school pick-ups and personal appointments . There are also opportunities to make formal flexible working requests if you have a specific need on a permanent basis. Please discuss with us any requirements you may have at interview.
For the times you want to unwind, take a break or jet off to sunnier climates we offer 28 days annual leave (Bank Holidays are in addition) which rises to 33 days as your length of service increases.
We offer enhanced maternity, adoption, shared parental and paternity pay, and have a whole host of family friendly policies in place to support you when you may need it.
We also offer up to five days family emergency leave a year, as we know there are times when family emergencies happen, allowing you the time to focus on supporting your loved ones.
We know that financial security is important to all of us, so alongside a competitive salary we offer a generous pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 10% and life assurance scheme of 48 months of your salary.
And for when you need more formal and confidential money or legal advice our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available at the end of the phone.
To be at your best we understand the importance of both good physical and mental health. We offer private health care for all colleagues and have a network of trained mental health first aiders and comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support colleagues.
Our EAP includes quick access to counselling support, a digital gym with a variety of classes, through to a wellbeing portal with content from a wide range of experts on mental health, fitness, sleep, recipes and more.
And if you like to get out of the house when you work out, our discounted membership at the gym next to our Head office offers 24-hour access and a whole host of classes and equipment.
For when you may need it, we also offer an enhanced company sick pay scheme.
Our colleagues have access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities with bpha, ranging from mandatory and role-specific training to professional courses or internal development opportunities such as secondments or periods of acting up. We support colleagues with the cost of their professional subscriptions and Life Coaching and Career guidance through our EAP.
For the times when you want to give back our volunteering programme allows you to volunteer one day a year to help support the communities in which we operate.
