Whether you live in a house or an apartment you may share communal areas with your neighbours.
We want everyone to be proud where they live and it’s important that the communal areas are kept safe, clean and well maintained. You, anyone living with you and your visitors must respect the local area, supporting everyone’s enjoyment of their home.
Any trees or plants that are located within customers own gardens are the responsibility of that customer. This includes regular maintenance such as pruning, removal of deadwood, and making sure that trees do not pose a risk to property or other people. Trees should not be allowed to become overgrown, hazardous, or cause damage to property.
If your home is in a building, you must keep all communal areas such as entrances, stairways, corridors, lifts and landings free from obstructions.
Please note, if items are found in communal areas they will be removed and disposed of as set out in our procedure.
If you live in a house, you may not share communal areas inside your property in the same way those who live in apartments do, but it’s equally important to care for your estate.
You can report any concerns about your estate, including fly tipping and bulky waste.
To report an issue with or repair to your communal area please contact our Customer Communications Centre by calling 0330 100 0272 or email [email protected].
