bpha’s annual Sustainability Report is published today
17 October 2025
We have released our annual Sustainability Report*, which covers the progress we’ve made in advancing environmental stewardship, social responsibility and strong governance during the year ended March 2025.
This year’s report highlights the meaningful steps we’ve taken to reduce our environmental footprint and strengthen our resilience to climate change, while achieving milestones including the completion of a flagship development and conclusion of part of our Vista regeneration programme.
It also reflects our continued commitment to creating safe, stable homes and communities for our customers. The report also covers how this focus on service delivery has its foundation in promoting colleague wellbeing.
Some of the year’s highlights:
- We have achieved 91.1% of existing homes at EPC Band C or above. This represents 12,268 homes meeting our target standard, a marked improvement that keeps us on track to meet our 2030 target of all homes reaching this standard
- The successful completion of Bury Court within our Vista regeneration programme. The extensive project refurbished all 90 flats in the block with works starting in December 2022 and completing in May 2025
- The completion of our Fen Drayton development in March: all 14 homes achieved EPC Band-A performance, while delivering more than 10% biodiversity net gain
- The investment of £49 million in maintaining and improving existing homes while generating 60,000 kWh of annual renewable energy capacity
- bpha’s Money Advice Team helped customers claim over £1 million in benefits while providing over £400,000 in direct support through our Rent Allowance Fund
- The launch of our comprehensive Well@Work plan and MYNDUP wellbeing platform for colleagues, to provide holistic support across mental, physical, social and financial dimensions.
*The report adopts the Sustainability Reporting Standard (SRS) for housing, as part of a sector-wide ESG standard. The framework allows us to report in a transparent, consistent and comparable way.
