Elstow train collision

Our thoughts and concerns are with all those affected by the devastating train collision in Elstow on Friday evening.
Tragically, a driver of one of the trains was pronounced dead at the scene. 33 people were taken to hospital with 11 of those in a serious condition. 56 other people were treated for injuries. We’re aware some of our customers, and other local people, may have been directly affected or been impacted by the news.
This happened at the heart of an area we serve and care about and we do not underestimate how distressing it can be.
We are grateful to all our partners and local organisations supporting those affected, including Bedfordshire Police, the local Fire and Rescue and Ambulance Services. Also, Network Rail, East Midlands Railway and Bedford Council.
